On July 21, 2025, I lost my dear granddaughter, Addy to suicide. She was only 17 years old. She had a very difficult life from early on but was loved by so many people. Did she know this? We'll never know . . .

In my devastation upon hearing she had passed I composed, Breaking Waves.  The imagery, though somewhat crude, I think shows the essence of her life. Together with the music it's a tribute to her long endurance. She fought hard while she was here. And now I hope she goes with each of us when we brave the waves of life ourselves.  She was one of a kind and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her . . .
